Join us for worship as we continue our worship series Moving Out of Scare City to Abundance Forest. This week we are considering “The Other Side of the Fence.” We are back in Acts after the Apostles have had a chance to get used to the idea of letting people into the Christian family from the “other side of the fence,” so to speak … in other words Gentiles.
How does it work? Are there any requirements? Under what conditions should we admit them into our circle? We can think that things are fine at the theoretical level, but then we have to face reality. And, it can be scary. We start building fences to control who we think should be “in” or “out.” Rather than offering safety and freedom, we find ourselves trapped. The fences we build to protect ourselves become our own prisons. This week we will discover the abundance that comes when we draw the circle wide.
Below the worship video there is a bonus video that we shared during the worship service. Catherine DeBoie shares why she’s a part of Joseph UMC.

John Wesley’s “Rule of Life”
Do all the good you can,
By all the means your can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever your can.
