We are resuming limited in-person worship beginning Easter Sunday (April 4). We will celebrate emerging from our Lenten tombs of this past year. We will continue to offer worship online for those who are not comfortable with in-person worship or simply cannot attend for whatever reason. If you are receiving weekly worship mailings, these will continue as well. However, the way we do it online will change a little bit.
- On Good Friday, we have a “virtual” worship experience mixed old and new resources to provide a meaningful Good Friday experience. After all, there is no Easter without Good Friday. Links for this will be sent out in a special Friday email.
- For Easter we will have two worship services. An in-person Sunrise Service at the Joseph end of Wallowa Lake, starting at 7:30 AM rain or shine. If it’s rainy or cooler, you will be able to stay in your vehicles. If you want to sing out loud, this is a good option for you.
- Then at 10:00 AM we will have limited in-person indoor worship at The Place. We will following COVID precautions like wearing masks and singing in our hearts, but not out loud. We only can accommodate 25 people, so you will need a reservation, as many churches around the country have done. You contact the church office at 541-432-3102 or email@example.com. We will also broadcast this Live. You will find links to online worship here and on our Facebook Page.
- All of this is contingent on the county’s COVID numbers staying good. If for some reason they spike, we will move back to online worship only. But, if it’s God’s will, we will have the opportunity to see each other in-person.
So many of us want to begin gathering in-person for worship again. We need your help to make this work. So many have worked so hard for this moment. On behalf of the whole church, thank you all. We are so grateful.
